FAQs
Everything you want to know about Peri, from how it tracks your symptoms to ordering, returns and your data.
Peri is a first-of-its-kind wearable that detects and tracks perimenopause symptoms. It gives you objective data, actionable insights and encouragement, so you can personalise how you manage your symptoms and take the guesswork out of perimenopause.
Peri passively detects hot flushes, night sweats, sleep, anxiety and your menstrual cycle. It also tracks daily steps, physical activity, resting heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV).
Peri uses machine learning to analyse signals from all of its sensors together: optical, motion, temperature and electrodermal. It extracts dozens of features from these signals to find the unique signature of each symptom.
It doesn’t rely on any single measurement like skin temperature or HRV, and no one sensor decides a result.
Peri is for any woman with unexplained symptoms or suspected perimenopause. That’s often women in their 40s, but perimenopause can begin anywhere from the late 30s to early 50s. Peri is also useful after menopause to monitor symptoms and see how your management plan (lifestyle, supplements or HRT) is working.
No. Peri is not a medical device and doesn’t diagnose perimenopause. It gives you objective information to support better, faster conversations with your doctor. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
Hormone levels fluctuate during perimenopause, so a one-off test can look “normal” even when you’re experiencing symptoms. Self-reporting is also unreliable: Peri’s research found women under-report hot flushes and night sweats by around 46%. Continuous tracking shows what’s really happening over time.
Under the breast, on the left or right side. This spot is discreet, gives a stable signal and provides the most accurate results. Peri measures 66 × 45 × 11 mm and weighs just 25 g.
Wear Peri consistently while you’re experiencing symptoms or adjusting your management plan. Continuous wear reveals patterns over weeks and months, shows links between symptoms (like hot flushes and sleep), and maps your symptoms across your menstrual cycle. Wearing it for only a few days won’t give you comprehensive insights.
Yes. Just bear in mind that gaps reduce the quality of your weekly and monthly trends, and night-based results (sleep and night sweats) won’t update on nights you don’t wear it. For the clearest picture, wear Peri most days while your symptoms need tracking.
Each patch is designed to be worn for 7–10 days, up to a maximum of 14 days. When you change patches, switch to the opposite side of your body to let your skin recover, and always use a new patch. Use Peri adhesives only.
Yes. Peri is rated IPX8, so it’s safe for showering, bathing and exercise. It can be submerged up to 1 m for 60 minutes. Remove it for longer swims, snorkelling or diving, and before saunas or very hot environments.
Peri comes with two swappable batteries, so you never need to take it off to charge. Wear one while the other charges in the cradle. The app alerts you when the battery drops below 20%. To swap, press the buttons on both sides of the battery, slide it off, and slide the charged one in until it clicks.
Gently lift the battery, place your finger on the blue tab under the device, press the tab and lift the device off the adhesive. Don’t pull the device off without pressing the tab. Removing the patch under warm shower water makes it more comfortable. Then wash your skin with mild soap and water.
Remove the device and patch straight away and cleanse your skin. If irritation lasts more than 2–3 days, contact a dermatologist. When you’re ready, reapply on the other side with a new patch. If you have a pacemaker or other implant, consult your physician before using Peri.

Cycle insights become meaningful once you’ve logged one full cycle.
Yes. The Journal lets you log symptoms Peri doesn’t detect passively (like brain fog, headaches or joint pain), as well as your period, diet, supplements, medical conditions, HRT and contraceptives. Each morning, a quick Daily Log also asks about yesterday’s period, symptoms, alcohol and caffeine. This context helps Peri personalise your insights and show you what’s really helping.
Tap Report in the app and Peri creates a PDF summary of your health data from the last 12 weeks, sent straight to your email. Share it with your doctor before your appointment, so you walk in with real data rather than guesswork.
No. Peri uses only the data from your Peri device and anything you choose to log in the app. It doesn’t sync with Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit or other platforms, and doesn’t import data from other wearables or apps.
No. Peri uses Bluetooth to send data to your phone, so keep Bluetooth on at all times. If your phone is out of range, data is stored on the device and transfers automatically when you reconnect. If the device memory fills before syncing, older data may be lost.
Keep the box until you’re happy with your Peri, as you’ll need it for any return.
Fully charge a battery, then download the My Peri app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account. Turn Bluetooth on, insert the charged battery, hold the device within 30 cm of your phone and tap “Find my device”. A green light on the back confirms it’s connected. Then follow the app prompts to attach a patch and start wearing Peri.
First, check you’ve removed the plastic insert between the battery and the device. It’s there for shipping, and the battery won’t power the device until it’s removed. Then make sure Bluetooth is on, the My Peri app is installed, and both batteries are charged.
Peri is a one-time purchase with a recommended retail price of $449, including the device and app access. There are no subscriptions and no monthly fees. Check the product page for current offers.
